Raymond Frenken is owner of White Bull Communications BV. He was Europe Correspondent for the global CNBC business news channel, covering key economic and corporate news developments in Europe, and was co-founder of EUX.TV, now co-owned by Brussels-based EU affairs and policy news publisher EurActiv PLC. With more than 15 million views, EUX.TV is the most watched private online channel in the field of EU policy news.
Since 1990, Raymond has worked as an international business journalist in Europe, where has covered for two decades the political process that led to the creation of the euro. During that time, he has reported extensively on regulation for the energy industry, European antitrust issues, international trade and financial regulation.
He was Energy Correspondent for Dow Jones Newswires in London; senior correspondent and bureau chief for Bloomberg News in Amsterdam, Zurich and Paris; senior editor for FTMarketWatch.com, and senior economics editor for Het Financieele Dagblad.
His writing has appeared in The New York Times, International Herald Tribune, South China Morning Post, NRC Handelsblad and the Washington Post.
Born in the Netherlands, Raymond holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and economics in Tilburg. Besides his native Dutch and English, Raymond speaks fluent German and French.
